But First, Coffee: 5 Statesboro Cafés to Get Your Fix

It’s a perfect morning here in Statesboro. You’ve just woken up peacefully to a view of the sunrise over charming downtown. You’ve got an action-packed day ahead of you. The only thing that can make this better is a deliciously crafted coffee and perhaps a pastry on the side from one of our favorite local spots.

Whether you’re off to explore a nearby state park, visit animals at the local wildlife center, hunt for antique treasures downtown, or sing and dance at an outdoor concert, one thing is for certain, you’re going to want a coffee first!

1

A Passion for Coffee

Cold Brew Coffee at Cool Beanz Espresso Bar

Photo: Cool Beanz Facebook

Owner David Hoyle opened Cool Beanz Espresso Bar to unite his love of the Statesboro community and his coffee-making passion. Cool Beanz is a staple for Statesboro locals, and its location on South Main Street proves it irresistible to those walking past the cozy storefront.

Since its opening, Cool Beanz has become a popular local spot in its deep-rooted connection with the community. You’ll feel right at home in this eclectic shop with decorative brick walls, warm lighting, comfortable sofas and a rustic feel.

Surprise yourself with the ever-changing brew of the day, or try their signature cold brew; roasted and brewed in-house. Whatever it is you’re searching for, Cool Beanz is the perfect corner shop to start your day off right!

A Creative Spirit

Coffee Latte and Muffin at Sugar Magnolia Coffeehouse

If you can’t tell yet, we take our coffee pretty seriously around here. So, it’s only right we point you to the experts at Sugar Magnolia Coffeehouse. Lean into their creative spirit and add different flavors like lavender, white chocolate or toffee nut to your coffee of choice.

This community go-to is always packed with regulars grabbing their favorite specialty coffee and a fresh pastry from the bakery. If you’re not so coffee-crazed, take advantage of their other items like protein smoothies, teas and more.

When it comes to serving coffee with a side of something tasteful, Sugar Magnolia is the master. Did your favorite musician keep you up last night in concert and you overslept? You’re in luck! They serve all-day breakfast, so you won’t have to skip out on a bagel or breakfast sandwich. Plan to grab a table and sit for a savory meal here at least once while you’re in town.

Giving Back

Latte and a muffin at a cafe

Photo: Three Tree Coffee Facebook

This is a must-visit stop to get your caffeine fix in when visiting Statesboro. Three Tree Coffee Roasters relies on the universal love of coffee to make the community a better place. Contributing to their cause is as easy as ordering a cup of coffee during your stay. They serve rich, traditional coffees with house-made Eastern European kolaches and more.

Three Tree first sold coffee at the Statesboro’s farmers market each Saturday. Then in 2015, their first location opened right here in Statesboro, with a three-prong mission to better the world around it. Roasting single-origin coffee from locations around the world allows them to give back to the farmers of the communities they partner with. The profits help provide living wages and support to the regions Three Tree sources their beans from. They also donate one dollar from every coffee bag sold to safe houses fighting to end human trafficking.

The coffeehouse’s final mission lies in the Statesboro community. They use serving coffee as a means to educate and inform customers about ways they can join the fight against human trafficking. Get a taste of Statesboro’s heart and the true power of coffee when you grab a cup of locally sourced deliciousness from Three Tree Coffee Roasters.
