The Averitt Center for the Arts is the home of the Emma Kelly Theater and the new Whitaker Black Box Theater. Built in 1936 as The Georgia Theater, today's Emma Kelly Theater houses a variety of live performances throughout the year. Opened in 2015, the Whitaker Black Box Theater offers a flexible venue for small productions and also serves as the home to our youth theater.
