Two Statesboro Restaurants Featured in Georgia’s Official State Culinary Guide

The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s (GDEcD) Tourism Division highlights “100 Plates Locals Love” in their annual culinary guide and this year’s highly anticipated list features the top “must-try” dishes when traveling in the South. It showcases the state’s authentic culinary experiences in hopes of inspiring visitors to sample Georgia’s world-class cuisine.
“We are excited that two local restaurants are featured in the 2019-2020 Culinary Guide. Statesboro offers many unique dining experiences and we love sharing this information with our visitors” said Becky Davis, Executive Director of the Statesboro Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Eagle Creek Brewing Company and Chazito’s Latin Cuisine, both located in Statesboro’s downtown footprint, had dishes named as “100 Plates Locals Love” in the popular publication. The dishes are listed within the guide by the nine Georgia Travel Regions. Eagle Creek’s Brisket Sandwich and Chazito’s Noche Buena were two of the eight dishes chosen from the Magnolia Midlands Travel Region.

Free copies of the guide are available at Visit Statesboro, located at 222 S. Main Street, and at all Regional and State Visitor Information Centers in Georgia. See the complete list online here: https://www.exploregeorgia.org/article/100-plates-locals-love
