Celebrate Cinco de Mayo ‘Boro Style!
Satisfy your craving for Mexican food at some of Statesboro’s most popular restaurants. These are favorites with visitors, locals, and GSU students alike! http://goo.gl/zM1rkw
El Sombrero – The original Statesboro location recently celebrated 25 years of business in the Boro and now there are two more locations to serve “the hat” demand. Daily specials and happy hour drinks keep all three locations busy. Haven’t had a Margerona? You don’t know what you’re missing!
El Rinconcito – This might be one of Statesboro’s best kept secrets! The restaurant is located inside an authentic Mexican grocery store so they offer traditional Mexican drinks such as Jarritos that come in multiple flavors. They offer a FREE chip bar where patrons help themselves to more than the customary chips and salsa and you can have a seat at the bar to watch their cooks prepare fresh food right on the grill!
El Jalapeno – One of Statesboro’s newest restaurants, El Jalapeno has quickly become a local favorite. Their lunch menu offers some of the best combination deals at prices you won’t believe. Be sure to sample their guacamole when you stop in there!
Manzano’s Authentic Mexican Grill – Haven’t had Manzano’s yet? Venture out towards Mill Creek Park and you can’t miss it. Manzano’s does not serve alcohol which makes it a popular weekend spot for those looking for great Mexican food in a 100% family-friendly atmosphere.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop – Fuzzy’s boasts a Baja inspired menu that has spread its popularity throughout 10 states and Statesboro claims one of the first in Georgia. Don’t miss their fish tacos and huge salads!
Moe’s Southwest Grill – Welcome to Moe’s! Fresh ingredients and quirky names make their Southwestern fare not only delicious but fun! It all started in Atlanta, GA and they now boast more than 500 locations.
Barberitos – Although your food is ready fast, this is far from fast food! Barberitos offers fresh, healthy, made-to-order food just the way you like it. You’ll taste the “made from scratch” difference.
